Since its inception seven years ago, Real World has established itself as a market leader in graduate recruitment advice, having been voted four times as the best-read magazine on campus by the High Fliers Organisation, the leading graduate market research company. We produce 11 issues a year, which are distributed to over 130 universities nationwide, with on average 40,000 copies published per issue. Real World is free to all students and can be found in careers services, university unions, top faculty departments and at all the major careers fairs across the UK.

The Innovation Forum programmed the New new journalism event which took place at BOX at the London School of Economics on the evening of Thursday 22 May. The event was supported by and produced in collaboration with POLIS and the LSE Media Group.
Chair Nico Macdonald set the scene for the evening, followed by the panelists’ outlining their perspectives, from their discipline and more generally. Audience questions and points lead to a significant and informed debate. The panelists were Charlie Beckett, director of POLIS; Tessa Mayes, campaigning investigative journalist; Bill Thompson, technology journalist; and Julia Whitney, Head of Design & User Experience, Journalism, BBC Future Media & Technology.
