After the knock out in the rugby and the defeat in Formula 1 ,2007 was looking bleak for sport victories, but freediver Sara Campbell,35, not only bought home a gold medal for her country, but also stormed into history by breaking three World Records in three days.

With just one breath Sara dove to 88 meters In Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt, to defeat her competition and claim title as the best freediving woman in the world.

Newspepper journalist Stuart Reed met Sara and found out exactly how she won gold, why she’s called the ‘naked diver’ and what goes through her head at 90 meters when her lungs are compressed to the size of fist.
